Videos of CFD Simulations

These videos were created with results of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses. The software used for CFD simulation was Flow-3D. The videos were made by Windows Live Movie Maker using images exported from post processor of Flow-3D.

Beam and Slab Bridge

Rollover Pass Bridge
These simulations were conducted using superstructure of the old Escambia Bay Bridge which was severely damaged during Hurricane Ivan in 2004. The superstructure had six parallel girders. The video shown below is the control case with wave height H = 2.0m, wave period T = 6.0s, water depth d = 6.0m, deck clearance c = 0.0m ("c" measured from top surface of superstructure to still water level). The following effects were investigated: 1. Deck clearance (H = 2.0m, T = 6.0s). 2.Wave height (T = 6.0 s, c = 0.0m). 3.Wave period (H = 2.0 m, c = 0.0m)
